Great Hearts Online Private is a nonprofit, 501(c) 3 organization operated by a new division under the Great Hearts America umbrella.
Q. What are the student testing requirements?
There are no testing requirements to attend Great Hearts Online Private. We will administer thoughtfully selected assessments in the Fall to identify scholar’s learning strengths, needs, and level for intervention, reading group placement, and support. Q. Is Great Hearts Online Private School accredited?
Private schools do not need to be accredited in Texas. While we won’t be accredited in the 21-22 school year, we will pursue accreditation for future years. The school not being accredited will not have implications for students. Our courses are well-aligned with the State of Texas for high school credit and we have a fully-aligned TEKS curriculum. For example, our 8th grade Algebra course receives high school credit.
